Nearly stoichiometric TiNxfilms were deposited on Al2O3substrates by laser enhanced chemical vapor deposition (CVD) with tetrakis (diethylamido) titanium (TDEAT) and ammonia as the source materials. Emphases were given on the effects of laser power (PL) and pre-heating temperature (Tpre) on the composition and deposition rate of TiNxfilms. Single phase of TiNxfilms with columnar cross section were obtained. The ratio of N to Ti in TiNxfilms increased with increasingPLand was close to stoichiometric atPL> 150 W. The deposition rate of TiNxfilms with a depositing area of 300 mm2was about 18-90 µm/h, which decreased with increasingPLandTpre.

Green composites are the materials which are made up of natural fibers and biodegradable matrix materials, which have the ability to replace the non-biodegradable, petroleumbased products. In this study, the focus is to develop the fully biodegradable green composites in which matrix material is selected as Polylactic Acid (PLA) reinforcement with jute and sisal fiber using hand layup followed by a compression molding technique. Composites are developed with different volume fraction from 25% to 50% and different temperature from 165°C to 195°C. Furthermore, the study of the failure mechanism of the tested specimens will be done with the help of a scanning electron microscope (SEM).

The new compound SFCl was obtained by UV photolysis of FC(O)SCl in rare gas matrix and by UV photolysis of Cl2/SF3SF in the gas phase. Isotopic substitution verifies the molecular identity. Eight frequencies from three isotropic molecules determine the force constants fSF = 4.30 and fscl = 2.90 102N/m.
