The exponential model is proposed for levitation force calculations of high temperature superconductors in place of Bean model according to the Exponential relationship between the critical current density and applied field. The calculated results are larger than the experimental results in both symmetrical and unsymmetrical applied fields. The normalization curves agree well in the symmetrical applied field, however, they much differ in the unsymmetrical applied field.
