The formation of dust ion acoustic solitons in an unmagnetized plasma with the electrons’ drift velocity has been investigated through the modified Korteweg – de Vries (mKdV) equation. In this case only compressive solitons are found to exist. The mKdV solitons are established to exist in two new ranges of drift velocity [Formula: see text] for [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text].
