Indocyanine green (ICG) dye angiography has been used by ophthalmologists for routine examination of the choroidal vasculature in human eyes for more than 20years. In this study, a new approach is developed to extract information from ICG dye angiograms about blood velocity distribution in the choriocapillaris and its feeding blood vessels. ICG dye fluorescence intensity rise and decay curves are constructed for each pixel location in each image of the choriocapillaris in an ICG angiogram. It is shown that at each instant of time the magnitude of the local instantaneous dye velocity in the choriocapillaris is proportional to both the slope of the ICG dye fluorescence intensity curve and the dye concentration. This approach leads to determination of the absolute value of blood velocity in the choriocapillaris, assuming an appropriate scaling, or conversion factor can be determined. It also enables comparison of velocities in different regions of the choriocapillaris, since the conversion factor is independent of the vessel location. The computer algorithm developed in this study can be used in clinical applications for diagnostic purposes and for assessment of the efficacy of laser therapy in human eyes.

An impeller blade with a slot structure can affect the velocity distribution in the impeller flow passage of the centrifugal pump, thus affecting the pump’s performance. Various slot structure geometric parameter combinations were tested in this study to explore this relationship: slot position p, slot width b1, slot deflection angle β, and slot depth h with (3–4) levels were selected for each factor on an L16 orthogonal test table. The results show that b1 and h are the major factors influencing pump performance under low and rated flow conditions, while p is the major influencing factor under the large flow condition. The slot structure close to the front edge of the impeller blade can change the low-pressure region of the suction inlet of the impeller flow passage, thus improving the fluid velocity distribution in the impeller. Optimal slot parameter combinations according to the actual machining precision may include a small slot width b1, slot depth h of ¼ b, slot deflection angle β of 45°–60°, and slot position p close to the front edge of the blade at 20–40%.

Regarding the implementation of art education in schools, it is seen that art performance education is put in the third position after visual arts and literature. Among other forms of art performance, drama’s position is under music and dance. Drama is a performance delineating human life, which is acted on stage in front of public. The story generally has conflicts, performed through movements, actions and dialogs. Drama needs introducing to children. The attempts to introduce drama to children should be done as early as possible since the early ages have appropriate space and time, which are strategic to implant basic values in children. Related to this, there are at least two things to be put into consideration. The first is related to literature and the second to art performance. The former covers the determination of theme, synopsis, characters and characterization, plot, dramatic conflict, setting and language use. The latter includes script writing, directing, producer, technical staff, players, and audience. Keywords: art education, drama, early ages
