Based on the distinction between the covariant and contravariant metric tensor components in the framework of the affine geometry approach and the so called "gravitational theories with covariant and contravariant connection and metrics", it is shown that a wide variety of 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 10th- degree algebraic equations exists in gravity theory. This is important in view of finding new solutions of the Einstein's equations, if they are treated as algebraic ones. Since the obtained cubic algebraic equations are multivariable, the standard algebraic geometry approach for parametrization of two-dimensional cubic equations with the elliptic Weierstrass function cannot be applied. Nevertheless, for a previously considered cubic equation for reparametrization invariance of the gravitational Lagrangian and on the base of a newly introduced notion of "embedded sequence of cubic algebraic equations", it is demonstrated that in the multivariable case such a parametrization is also possible, but with complicated irrational and non-elliptic functions. After finding the solutions of a system of first-order nonlinear differential equations, these parametrization functions can be considered also as uniformization ones (depending only on the complex uniformization variable z) for the initial multivariable cubic equation.

The work considers rods with a constant cross-section. The deformation law of each layer of the rod is adopted as an approximation by a polynomial of the second order. The method of determining the coefficients of the indicated polynomial and the limit deformations under compression and tension of the material of each layer is described with the presence of three traditional characteristics: modulus of elasticity, limit stresses at compression and tension. On the basis of deformation diagrams of the concrete grades B10, B30, B50 under tension and compression, these coefficients are determined by the method of least squares. The deformation diagrams of these concrete grades are compared on the basis of the approximations obtained by the limit values and the method of least squares, and it is found that these diagrams approximate quite well the real deformation diagrams at deformations close to the limit. The main problem in this work is to determine if the rod is able withstand the applied loads, before intensive cracking processes in concrete. So as a criterion of the conditional limit state this work adopts the maximum permissible deformation value under tension or compression corresponding to the points of transition to a falling branch on the deformation diagram level in one or more layers of the rod. The Kirchhoff-Lyav classical kinematic hypotheses are assumed to be valid for the rod deformation. The cases of statically determinable and statically indeterminable problems of bend of the rod are considered. It is shown that in the case of statically determinable loadings, the general solution of the problem comes to solving a system of three nonlinear algebraic equations which roots can be obtained with the necessary accuracy using the well-developed methods of computational mathematics. The general solution of the problem for statically indeterminable problems is reduced to obtaining a solution to a system of three nonlinear differential equations for three functions - deformation and curvatures. The Bubnov-Galerkin method is used to approximate the solution of this equation on the segment along the length of the rod, and specific examples of its application to the Maple system of symbolic calculations are considered.

AbstractA method of approximate solution of the linear one-dimensional Fredholm integral equation of the second kind is constructed. With the help of the Steklov averaging operator the integral equation is approximated by a system of linear algebraic equations. On the basis of the approximation used an increased order convergence solution has been obtained.

In this paper, mathematical model of nonlinear vibration problems with fluid flows through pipelines have been developed. Using the Bubnov–Galerkin method for the boundary conditions, the resulting nonlinear integro-differential equations with partial derivatives are reduced to solving systems of nonlinear ordinary integro-differential equations with both constant and variable coefficients as functions of time.A system of algebraic equations is obtained according to numerical method for the unknowns. The influence of the singularity of heredity kernels on the vibrations of structures possessing viscoelastic properties is numerically investigated.It was found that the determination of the effect of viscoelastic properties of the construction material on vibrations of the pipeline with a flowing liquid requires applying weakly singular hereditary kernels with an Abel type singularity.

<div>The analysis of power system dynamics is usually conducted using traditional models based on the standard nonlinear differential algebraic equations (DAEs). In general, solutions to these equations can be obtained using numerical methods such as the Monte Carlo simulations. The use of methods based on the Stochastic Hybrid System (SHS) framework for power systems subject to stochastic behavior is relatively new. These methods have been successfully applied to power systems subjected to</div><div>stochastic inputs. This study discusses a class of SHSs referred to as Markov Jump Linear Systems (MJLSs), in which the entire dynamic system is jumping between distinct operating points, with different local small-signal dynamics. The numerical application is based on the analysis of the IEEE 37-bus power system switching between grid-tied and standalone operating modes. The Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs) representing the evolution of the conditional moments are derived and a matrix representation of the system is developed. Results are compared to the averaged Monte Carlo simulation. The MJLS approach was found to have a key advantage of being far less computational expensive.</div>
