The recent availability of a linear resistance thermometer makes possible a simple direct-reading cryogenic thermometer, which does not require calibration charts or linearization networks. Another instrument for cryogenic thermometry is also described. This is a semiautomatic mutual inductance bridge developed specifically for paramagnetic thermometry. This bridge enables greater accuracy and speed of operation than earlier techniques.
