This paper has studied the partial cavitation of 2-D hydrofoil based on the theory of viscous flow. The numerical calculation sets forth from the complete N-S equation and adopts the two-equation turbulence model closed Reynolds equation. As the basic control equation, the cavitating flow adopts the Rayleigh plesset model and calculates the zero angle of attack. At the same time, it calculates the influences of different ship speeds on the hydrofoil partial cavitating flow and analyzes the flow field of the hydrofoil. In addition, it makes comparisons on the calculation results and the published test conclusions. The results have shown that the calculation method in this paper has relatively good calculation precise degree.

An Array Of Cylinders

This work deals with the viscous flow around an array of cylinders impinged by an incoming wave. Different configurations are considered in order to evaluate the effects of both wave heading and wave height on the loads applied to the bodies and on the run-ups. The results are also compared to previous calculations obtained with the assumption of inviscid flow with the aim of evaluating the contribution of viscosity.

In this paper, based on CFD method and dynamic mesh technology, the ship maneuvering performance is predicted in viscous flow. Numerical computation models are built to realize the simulation of the ship maneuvering motions such as static drift test, static rudder test, pure yaw test and pure sway test. Hydrodynamic forces and moments acting on a maneuvering ship are obtained in the body-fixed coordinate system. The computational results are compared with data of potential theory method. Then based on VC code, a simulator of ship maneuvering motions is built to simulate ship Zigzagging and Turing test. The results show that the present numerical simulation method and the ship maneuvering motion simulator are able to be used in numerical simulation of the real size ship maneuvering motions in viscous flow field.
