Diversity issues in management information systems (MIS) research have received abundant attention over the last 20 years. This paper extends the debate on the limited diversity in the research methods of MIS researchers to include the global research community. The argument of methodological exclusiveness on a global scale is argued to be the result of educational influence on faculty in each region. Leading universities throughout three major regions of the world were evaluated to show the educational influence of faculty causing the expansion of methodological exclusion on a global scale. The paper concludes with recommendations for addressing the issues discussed to further facilitate collaboration among researchers internationally.

This paper focuses on assessing the crisis preparedness of healthcare facilities as a new module of crisis management information systems. The crisis is widespread around the world, and it is essential that the medical facility is ready. The first part of the thesis deals with the introduction to the given issue and the crisis preparedness of the population. The second part of the paper deals with the analysis of extraordinary events and crisis situations around the world. The impact of emergencies on healthcare facilities is described in this part. The third part of the thesis deals with the emergency survival of the population. The following part describes the methods used in this research. The heuristic analysis of preparedness is one of the most valuable methods. The next section presents the results of the work according to the chosen method. In this section, we will find the strengths and weaknesses of the evaluated medical facilities. At the end of the thesis is proposed a new module for evaluation of medical facilities. This module can be applied as part of crisis management information systems.

Management information systems are needed in decision making so that the decisions taken are rational according to the needs of the organization. In the world of school education can not be separated with the management information system. Quality in management information systems can be seen from several things: accurate, precise, facts, and relevant. Information systems are absolutely fulfilled in everyday life in all walks of life both people whose economy and education are low and those whose economy and education are high. The higher the level of one's economy and education, the higher the information. Information technology is currently developing so rapidly that it is possible to have a system that can solve an organizational problem effectively and efficiently.

This article aims to explain the role of Management Information Systems in the educational or academic fields, especially in schools. Education is a process of learning the knowledge, skills and habits of a group of people passed down from one generation to the next through teaching, training and research. In the world of technology education is very important because at this time almost every activity carried out using technology and does not rule out the possibility that in the world of education also has used information technology, the Management Information System (SIM) is the application of information systems within the organization to support information- information needed by all levels of management. Important role of SIM in the school to facilitate managing school data, Implementation of Management Information Systems (SIM) in Islamic Middle School Darul Qur'an Padang has student data, teacher data, student attendance list data, attendance list of teachers and employees, extracurricular data, eye data lessons, teacher picket schedule data, MID semester value data and semester value data, extracurricular or personal development data, study group data and additional study data for class IX. The important role of Management Information Systems (MIS) in education is very useful as an example for making certain decisions or policies. So, the Management Information System has an impact on improving the quality of schools in a better direction and the Management Information System (SIM) is also useful in daily school operations and is also useful in managerial decisions to be taken by the school

Purpose Disaster management information systems (DMISs) have been proposed in different parts of the world for effective response to a disaster. The purpose of this paper is to: compare design approaches of these DMISs; examine similarities in the design of databases and communication infrastructure; and draw conclusions. Based on the examination of the studies, future opportunities have been identified and discussed. Design/methodology/approach The studies in the available literature on the designs of automated DMISs have been reviewed in the presented paper to identify similarities in design premise, conceptual design and design considerations. Findings The examination of the available studies indicates that the research on DMIS has increased significantly in different countries of the world since 2004. Data of baseline information and available resources are required by most of the presented studies, as these data are necessary for effective response to a disaster. The communication infrastructures suggested include local area network, wide area network and satellite communication for better coordination between the responders and different relief agencies at different locations. The connectivity to these networks is possible through Ethernet, Wi-Fi, general packet radio service or satellite. Research limitations/implications Although the research on DMIS has increased significantly over the last one decade, the studies are still few in numbers. Similarly, only few of the proposed systems have been developed and tested during a real disaster. Practical implications The presented review of available studies provides a holistic view of the proposed DMISs which could be useful to the disaster management authorities. Originality/value The paper provides valuable information on the differences in the proposed DMISs. This can help in identifying the gaps for future improvements for increased effectiveness of a DMIS. The future opportunities have also been identified in the presented paper and are discussed.

ABSTACTBrainware is a person who uses or operates a computer device. In other words, brainware is a human who has the ability to use computers.Brainware is often also referred to as an intellectual device that uses and explores the capabilities of hardware (hardware) or software (software).Hardware inside a computer cannot be run without software, whereas without brainware software and hadware cannot run. So, the three components (brainware, software, and hardware) complement each other. In the world of business and corporate development, brainware is a person or group of people who have the intellectual ability to explore network management information systems. Brainware in business management information systems is needed to produce information that is useful for the survival of the organization or company in terms of competition. This is because information systems play an important role in dealing with free competition.

Abstract. Digitalization, enhanced storage capacities, and the Internet of Things increase the volume of data in modern organizations. To process and make use of these data and to avoid information overload, management information systems (MIS) are introduced that collect, process, and analyze relevant data. However, a precondition for the application of MIS is that users trust them. Extending accounts of trust in automation and trust in technology, we introduce a new model of trust in MIS that addresses the conceptual ambiguities of existing conceptualizations of trust and integrates initial empirical work in this field. In doing so, we differentiate between perceived trustworthiness of an MIS, experienced trust in an MIS, intentions to use an MIS, and actual use of an MIS. Moreover, we consider users’ perceived risks and contextual factors (e. g., autonomy at work) as moderators. The introduced model offers guidelines for future research and initial suggestions to foster trust-based MIS use.
