The experimental evidence for the existence of chain paramagnetic Curie-type contribution to the temperature dependence of the normal (non-superconducting) state magnetic susceptibility χ (T) was obtained for pure high-Tc superconductors (HTSC) YBa2Cu3O6+δ series with different oxygen contents (0.6 < δ ≤ 1). It was shown that this contribution became clearly evident on curves χ (T) only at the temperature T < 150 K. It increases with the amount of oxygen vacancies increase in Cu1–O4 chains, and also depends on the way of the oxygen vacancies ordering.

Zero bias conductance peak (ZBCP) and gap features have been studied on tunneling interlayer spectra of the micron-sized NbSe3 stacks of high quality. We show that temperature dependence and the shape of the ZBCP is self-consistently described by Bulaevskii theory of coherent interlayer tunneling of pocket carriers.

ABSTRACTThe isothermal time-temperature dependence of the transformation from SRO to LRO as measured by resistivity changes is given. Problems of defining an initial state from which the transformation occurs are reviewed with emphasis on the microdomain structure from which the LRO structure develops. Questions of homogeneous transformation relative to heterogeneous transformation by clear nucleation and growth are addressed in terms of experimental evidence and theoretical predictions. Strong evidence for a nucleation and growth mechanism, at least above 750° C, is presented.

We report here the experimental evidence of semiconductor-superconductor transitions in relatively thick Nb/Al structures. The temperature dependence of resistivity ρ(T) shows a sharp superconducting transition followed by either a normal metallic behavior in low-resistivity samples, or a semiconducting behavior when the sample resistivity at 10 K is above 100 μΩ cm. We discuss here the fabrication conditions and the electron localization regime associated with the measured ρ(T) dependence.
