<p>The interatomic Chebyshev Interaction Model for Efficient Simulation (ChIMES) is based on linear combinations of Chebyshev polynomials describing explicit two- and three-body interactions. Recently, the ChIMES model has been developed and applied to a molten metallic system of a single atom type (carbon), as well as a non-reactive molecular system of two atom types at ambient conditions (water). Here, we continue application of ChIMES to increasingly complex problems through extension to a reactive system. Specifically, we develop a ChIMES model for carbon monoxide under extreme conditions, with built-in transferability to nearby state points. We demonstrate that the resulting model recovers much of the accuracy of DFT while exhibiting a 104increase in efficiency, linear system size scalability and the ability to overcome the significant system size effects exhibited by DFT.</p>

The need to taking into account an environmental friendliness factor in the process of investment projects estimation is defined. The method of eco-economic estimation of the projects, which help to draw conclusions about the projects feasibility and to rank them according to the level of environmental and economic efficiency, is provided. To objective justification for the investment decision, the projects efficiency criteria is suggested to calculate with using the elements of the fuzzy sets theory, through which many uncertainties factors may be formalized and correctly considered in the estimation process.

Abstract Integration of renewable energy sources and the improvement of the technological base may not only reduce the consumption of fossil fuel and environmental load, but also ensure the power supply in regions with difficult fuel delivery or power failures. The main goal of the research is to develop the methodology of evaluation of the wind turbine economic efficiency. The research has demonstrated that the electricity produced from renewable sources may be much more expensive than the electricity purchased from the conventional grid.

Abstract Priority and qualitatively new direction in the fuel and energy sector is renewable energy. This paper describes a feasibility study of using solar window in the system of solar heat supply. The article presents literature data about the effectiveness of the use of solar systems in other countries. The results confirm a sufficient efficiency of solar heat supply with using solar Windows. Insights based on practical experience and mathematical calculations, which are aimed at a detailed explanation of economic efficiency of the proposed construction.

Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members are working in parallel to reform their electricity markets and achieve ambitious renewable energy deployment goals. The motivation for this agenda is multifaceted, and increasing economic efficiency is one of several reasons for these efforts. By introducing markets in the power sector (i.e., liberalizing this sector), these countries aim to reduce the sector’s reliance on the public budget.

Research has been performed on the state of development and trends for alternative energy sources. Advantages and disadvantages of renewable energy have been considered. Main types of the effects due to the implementation of renewable energy sources have been investigated. Main aspects of the actual effects upon society as a whole have been determined, in order to perform the objective assessment of the social efficiency of implementation of renewable energy sources. Methods to determine the social and economic efficiency of using the renewable energy sources have been suggested.
