Nano-size ZnO of one dimensional structure was prepared by solvothermal synthesis through dissolution-crystallization mechanism and characterized by TEM and XRD. Moreover, photocatalytic degradation rate of dye Rhodamine B (RhB) at the present of nano-size ZnO were carried out, and the results indicated that the nano-size ZnO prepared by such a method has excellent photocatalytic properties.

TiO2 composite photocatalytic film was fixed on steel by by plasma electrolytic oxidation. The microstructure of the composite film were investigated by XRD, EDS and SEM. The photocatalytic properties of the film were studied by testing the photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B. The results showed that the ceramic film was composed of A-TiO2 and R-TiO2. The EDS revealed that the film consisted Ti, O, Si and Fe elements. The SEM pictures showed that the film surface was rough and porous. The photocatalytic experiment results showed that the the TiO2 composite film fixed on steel by plasma electrolytic oxidation exhibited relatively high photocatalytic photodegradation of Rhodamine B, whose removal ratio reached 90% in 2 hours, irradiation of ultraviolet light.

This paper presents a novel approach for preparing titanium dioxide nanotube arrays (TNTs) loaded with highly dispersed Br through an ultrasound aided photochemical route. The content of Br doped on the arrays was controlled by changing the concentration of NaBr and the ultrasound time. The Br doped TiO2nanotube arrays were characterized by SEM, XRD and UV–Vis spectrum. Doping the bromine did not basically affect the morphology of the surface of the TNTs, but part of the anatase phase transformed into rutile phase, which led to the formation of the mixed crystal and increased the photocatalytic activity. The results showed that Br doping significantly enhanced the photocatalytic degradation rate of titanium dioxide nanotube arrays under UV-light irradiation. The main factors which affected photocatalytic degradation of sugar wastewater were the illumination time and pH. The results showed that the longer the exposure time was, the initial pH of wastewater was more favorable to photocatalytic degradation of the sugar wastewater for the Br-TiO2nanotube arrays, and compared to undoped TiO2nanotube arrays Br doped TiO2nanotube arrays had better photocatalytic properties.

Cu3N/MoS2 composite films were prepared by magnetron sputtering under different preparation parameter, and their photocatalytic properties were investigated. Results showed that the composite films surface was uniform and had no evident cracks. When the sputtering power of MoS2 increased from 2 W to 8 W, the photocatalytic performance of the composite films showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing. Among these films, the composite films with MoS2 sputtering power of 4 W showed the best photocatalytic degradation performance. The photocatalytic degradation rate of methyl orange at 30 min was 98.3%, because the MoS2 crystal in the films preferentially grew over the Cu3N crystal, thereby affecting the growth of the Cu3N crystal. The crystallinity of the copper nitride also increased. During photocatalytic degradation, the proper amount of MoS2 reduced the band gap of Cu3N, and the photogenerated electron hole pairs were easily separated. Thus, the films produces additional photogenerated electrons and promotes the degradation reaction of the composite films on methyl orange solution.
