Phenylphosphonate functionalisation is an easy, highly effective strategy to fabricate slurry-coated nanostructured MgMn2O4 cathodes for rechargeable magnesium batteries at active material fractions up to 93 wt% for rechargeable magnesium batteries cycled at 25 °C.
