The adsorption sites of boron in UiO-66-B lead to in a larger amount of O2 adsorption; and the H+ is adsorbed on the oxygen adjacent to boron, which is more conducive to the proton coupling reaction of ˙O2− to H2O2 in the second step.

A highly crystalline Zr(iv)-based metal–organic framework (MOF) containing open 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy) chelating sites has been realized using two synthetic strategies, and readily forms complexes with PdCl2 to produce a MOF that exhibits efficient and recyclable catalysis for the Suzuki–Miyaura cross-coupling reaction.

The moisture stable γ-CD-K-MOF was obtained by simply treating MOF with H2S gas. H2S acting as new water adsorption sites protected the metal–ligand bonds from water attack and thus enhanced the moisture resistance of γ-CD-K-MOF.
