Li substitution of Mn was investigated in Ni/Co-free P2-type Na0.6Cu0.2Mn0.8O2 composites. A dual effect of alleviated crystallographic changes and stabilized interphase was observed in Li-substituted electrode by using in situ EIS and in situ XRD.

The double-carbon confined CGH@C/rGO composite is designed via a facile in situ hydrothermal strategy. When used as an anode for sodium-ion batteries, it exhibits superior reversible capacities, high rate capability, and stable cycling performance.

Na2.3Cu1.1Mn2O7−δ nanoflakes prepared by an ultrafast pyrosynthesis approach are used as the positive electrode for SIBs. In situ GITT and XRD results support the occurrence of a single-phase reaction in the Na2.3Cu1.1Mn2O7−δ nanoflakes cathode during Na+ (de)intercalation.
