Titanium nitride nanotubes (TiN-NTs) were fabricated using a hydrothermal – ammonia nitriding route, and non-noble metal nanosized Ni particles were anchored on the surface via a non-aqueous phase reduction–deposition strategy, to obtain the supported catalyst Ni@TiN-NTs.
