Herein, two efficient yellow iridium complexes with good electron mobility were applied in OLEDs, showing a maximum current efficiency of 106.66 cd A−1 and an external quantum efficiency of 29.7% with low efficiency roll-off.

Cationic PtAu2 heterometallic complexes are used as phosphorescent emitters for highly efficient electroluminescent OLEDs through a solution process with the highest current efficiency of 51.7 cd A−1 and external quantum efficiency of 14.5%.

A 2,7-functionalized pyrene-based emitter for highly efficient OLEDs has been developed. It offers an exceptional deep blue photoluminescence (CIE: x = 0.16, y = 0.024) and good external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 3.1% when employed in a guest–host system OLED.

A novel pyrimidine-based host material with a triplet energy of 3.07 eV was synthesized. Sky blue and blue OLEDs were fabricated, obtaining high external quantum efficiency and extremely low efficiency roll-off.
