A new n-type conjugated copolymer LA03 based on naphthalene diimide and benzotriazole with thiophene π-bridges was synthesized, and the all polymer solar cells with PBDB-T as donor and LA03 as acceptor achieved a power conversion efficiency of 6.49%.

Incorporation of a different number of fluorine atoms on the donor portion of naphthalene diimide (NDI) based donor–acceptor conjugated polymers significantly affected the solar cell's power conversion efficiency from 0.67% to 2.50%.

Using a fluoropyrido[3,4-b]pyrazine based 2D-conjugated polymer as an electron donor in polymer solar cells, a power conversion efficiency of 6.2% is obtained, which is the highest PCE among the PP-based polymers reported to date.
