This article studies the implementation of some well-known principles of information work of biological systems in the input unit of the neuroprocessor, including spike coding of information used in models of neural networks of the latest generation.<br> The development of modern neural network IT gives rise to a number of urgent tasks at the junction of several scientific disciplines. One of them is to create a hardware platform&nbsp;— a neuroprocessor for energy-efficient operation of neural networks. Recently, the development of nanotechnology of the main units of the neuroprocessor relies on combined memristor super-large logical and storage matrices. The matrix topology is built on the principle of maximum integration of programmable links between nodes. This article describes a method for implementing biomorphic neural functionality based on programmable links of a highly integrated 3D logic matrix.<br> This paper focuses on the problem of achieving energy efficiency of the hardware used to model neural networks. The main part analyzes the known facts of the principles of information transfer and processing in biological systems from the point of view of their implementation in the input unit of the neuroprocessor. The author deals with the scheme of an electronic neuron implemented based on elements of a 3D logical matrix. A pulsed method of encoding input information is presented, which most realistically reflects the principle of operation of a sensory biological neural system. The model of an electronic neuron for selecting ranges of technological parameters in a real 3D logic matrix scheme is analyzed. The implementation of disjunctively normal forms is shown, using the logic function in the input unit of a neuroprocessor as an example. The results of modeling fragments of electric circuits with memristors of a 3D logical matrix in programming mode are presented.<br> The author concludes that biomorphic pulse coding of standard digital signals allows achieving a high degree of energy efficiency of the logic elements of the neuroprocessor by reducing the number of valve operations. Energy efficiency makes it possible to overcome the thermal limitation of the scalable technology of three-dimensional layout of elements in memristor crossbars.

Lactoperoxidase, in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and iodide is cytotoxic for human and mouse lymphoid cells, and human erythrocytes. Myeloperoxidase, in amounts equivalent to 1.5 x 106 neutrophils, readily replaces lactoperoxidase, and allows the substitution of the iodide ion by chloride. The myeloperoxidase-mediated reaction is rapid, and highly efficient, leading to 85–90% cell death in 90 min, as measured by 51chromium release and dye exclusion. The mixture of granulocytes. monocytes, and lymphocytes present in an inflammatory exudate, and the intimate cell-to-cell association characteristic of cytotoxic phenomena may provide the in vivo requirements for such a system.

In plant mitochondria an essential mechanism for gene expression is RNA editing, often influencing the synthesis of functional proteins. RNA editing alters the linearity of genetic information transfer, intro- ducing differences between RNAs and their coding DNA sequences that hind both experimental and computational research of genes. Thus common software tools for gene search, successfully exploited to find canonic genes, often can fail in discovering genes encrypted in the genome of plants. In this work we propose a novel strategy useful to intercept candidate coding sequences resulting from some possible editing substitutions on the start and stop codons of a given input organism DNA. Our method is based on the simulation of the RNA editing mechanism, in order to generate candidate Open Reading Frame (ORF) sequences that could code for some, yet unknown, proteins. Results obtained on the mtDNA of Oryza sativa are promising, since we identified ORF sequences trascripted in Oriza, that do not cor- respond to already known proteins in this organism. Part of the corresponding amino acid sequences present high homologies with proteins already discovered in other organisms, the remaining ones could represent novel proteins not yet discovered in Oryza.

Although stochastic resonance has been demonstrated for many physical and biological systems, in both dynamic and threshold forms, its study in whole human beings presents special problems. Psychophysics provides theoretical and methodological tools for measuring information processing by humans, but modern psychophysics seems to be incompatible with some of the concepts of current theories of stochastic resonance. In this paper I review some of these problems, providing suggestions for solutions where none have as yet appeared. In particular, I discuss incompatibilities between signal detection theory and threshold stochastic resonance, and the problem of the effect of noise on information transfer across a "soft" threshold.
