The Maxwell–Stefan and dynamic concentration fluctuation models were compared in predicting mutual diffusivity in non-ideal ternary mixtures. The dynamic concentration fluctuation model gives improved predictions.

Aqueous solutions of the ternary system Ni(ii)–EDTA–CN− are investigated with X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) as a function of cyanide concentration with an enhanced laboratory von Hámos X-ray spectrometer.

A conceptually new approach to fabricate a robust ternary structure is introduced for light harvesting devices. An interesting photophysical mechanism of the ternary blend in a real device is highlighted where FRET strongly contributes to the performance enhancement of the device.
