In this work, a novel deep red-emitting phosphor KMgLaTeO6:Mn4+ potentially used in w-LEDs is reported, which can be efficiently excited with UV or blue light with a high quantum yield of 68.9% upon 365 nm excitation.

In this work, high quantum yield nanodots were produced by using an organosilane as a coordinating solvent and fabricated the product into solid films.
