A highly efficient photocatalyst was synthesized by controlling the growth of Ag3PO4nanoparticles within WS2sheets. This work could provide new insights into fabricating stable Ag3PO4-transition-metal dichalcogenide composite photocatalysts for dye degradation.

Three novel visible-light-driven composite photocatalysts were synthesized by hydrothermal method. The effects of introducing PDIs with different structures into TiO2 were evaluated by assaying the photodegradation rate of methylene blue.
