Co2(OH)3Cl exhibits a deformed pyrochlore structure regarded as a solid solution of Co(OH)2and CoCl2, so Co2(OH)3Cl xerogel as anode material can display superior electrochemical performance with the merits of both high theoretical capacity of Co(OH)2and good cycling stability of CoCl2.
