Pure-phase and aluminum-doped orthorhombic LiMnO2 (o-LiMnO2) samples of high discharge capacity and cyclic stability are prepared by a simple one-step hydrothermal reaction with low Li/Mn molar ratio. Mixing LiMn2O4 and doping aluminum improve the electrochemical performance of o-LiMnO2.
