A sample with the solid-solution phase was prepared by heating a sample that contained two phases, LiFePO4and FePO4. The two samples had similar thermodynamic properties, but different kinetic properties. The different phase transformation pathways strongly affected the electrochemical kinetic properties of LiFePO4NPs.
