A new general synthesis method for hypervalent diorganoantimony(iii) fluorides with pendant arm ligands is based on treatment with [Bu4N]F·3H2O of cationic species e.g. [{2-(2′,6′-iPr2C6H3NCH)C6H4}2Sb]+[PF6]− or [{2-(Me2NCH2)C6H4}PhSb]+[SbF6]−.

We demonstrate a general method for the preparation of a series of 3D alkali metal vanadate aerogels, including NaV3O8, NaV6O15, and K0.25V2O5. The resulting aerogels exhibit excellent Li+ storage properties in terms of high specific capacity, good rate capability, and outstanding cyclic stability as cathodes for LIBs.

The layered transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) and transition metal phosphides are low-cost, earth-abundant, and robust electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Integrating them into hybrid nanostructures is potentially promising to further boost the catalytic activity toward HER based on their synergistic effects. Herein, we report a general method for the synthesis of a series of MoSe2-based hybrid nanostructures, including MoSe2-Ni2P, MoSe2-Co2P, MoSe2-Ni, MoSe2-Co, and MoSe2-NiS, by postgrowth of Ni2P, Co2P, Ni, Co, and NiS nanostructures on the presynthesized MoSe2 nanosheet-assembled nanospheres, respectively, via a colloidal synthesis method. As a proof-of-concept application, the as-synthesized hybrid nanostructures are used as electrocatalysts for HER, exhibiting high activity and stability in acidic media. Among them, the MoSe2-Co2P composite shows the highest HER activity with an overpotential of 167 mV at 10 mA cm-2.

Abstract A general method for design cam-follower systems with desired kinematic and dynamic properties is presented. In this method, an output motion is defined as a sum of two series and satisfies prescribed terminal conditions as well as constraints directly related to the characteristics of the system. Approximation of such characteristics was based on certain properties of the series. The method is suitable for polynomials as well as finite trigonometric series or a combination of both. The application of this method is demonstrated for output motion expressed by polynomials.
