Novel core–shell structured Fe3O4@C@Ni–Al LDH microspheres were prepared by a hydrothermal method following a facile in situ growth process. The as-prepared product exhibits high pseudocapacity (767.6 F g−1), good rate capability, and remarkable cycling stability (92% after 1000 cycles).

SnO2@PANI composite has been synthesized by the in situ polymerization of aniline monomers in the presence of SnO2 hollow spheres. Using as an anode material for sodium-ion batteries, the composite exhibited long cycle life and good rate capability.
