Child sexual abuse is one of the prevalent social ills that affect children in Zimbabwe. In response to the problem of child sexual abuse and the need to mitigate its adverse effects, Zimbabwe established the Victim Friendly System. The Victim Friendly System is a multisectoral forum made up of social workers, medical doctors, nurses, the police force and role players within the justice system such as magistrates, prosecutors, counsellors, educationists and psychologists. These professionals offer distinctive but complementary interventions to child survivors of child sexual abuse. This paper discusses the merits and lessons gleaned from using the Victim Friendly System as a multisectoral forum to tackle child sexual abuse. In researching this phenomenon, the study adopted a qualitative approach and data were collected from 38 participants and 4 key informants selected using theoretical and purposive sampling respectively. A total of 300 court files of child sexual abuse cases were also reviewed. The findings that emerged from the study show that a multisectoral approach to dealing with child sexual abuse provides the benefit of integrated service delivery. Improved outcomes for victims of sexual abuse as well as streamlined, effective and efficient operations for organisations that form part of the Victim Friendly System were also evident. This notwithstanding, the paper also discusses some areas of concern that could potentially affect how the Victim Friendly System multisectoral arrangement works. The lessons that emerged from the study provide some insights that are useful in informing guidelines for multisectoral arrangements.

Abstract This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of Play Therapy through Imaginative Pretend Play technique in Handling Cases Agresive Behavior Child Victim of Sexual Abuse. The Agressive behavior that are refered in this research are divided into two; Phyisic aggresive and verbal agressive. The methode in this reserach is Single Subject Design with A-B-A-B. Data collecting technique conducted by observation, unstructur interviews, documentary study and filling questionaire. All the measurment using this research are formed.  The result showed that the aplication of Imaginative Pretend Play technique in Handling Cases Agressive Behavior Child Victim of Sexual Abuse is effective to reduce the agressive behavior frequencty of child. The frequency of physical agressive that consist of  hitting, wresting, throwing, threat with showing and imitating sexual adult activity  decresed from 39 before intervention to 11 after intervention. The frequency of verbal  agressive that consist of  bellowing, mocking and speaking with dirty word decresed from 39 before intervention to 11 after intervention. The result of ECBS show intervention influence to cognition aspect significantly, intervention influence to social relation aspect significantly and intervention influence to self adjustment aspect significantly.Keywords: Child, Sexual Abuse, ECBS, Imaginative Pretend Play, Play Therapy Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas Play Therapy melalui teknik Imaginative Pretend Play dalam menangani masalah perilaku agresif anak korban kekerasan seksual. Adapun agresif yang dimaksud disini mencakup agresivitas fisik maupun agresivitas verbal. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan Single Subject Design dengan pola A-B-A-B. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara tidak terstruktur, studi dokumentasi dan pengisian angket atau kuosioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan Teknik Imaginative Pretend Play dalam Penanganan Masalah Perilaku Agresif Anak Korban Kekerasan Seksual. Jumlah frekuensi agresivitas fisik anak yang terdiri dari memukul, merebut, melempar, mengacungkan kepalan tangan untuk mengancam dan menirukan aktivitas seksual orang dewasa berjumlah 39 turun menjadi 11 setelah intervensi. Jumlah frekuensi agresivitas verbal yang terdiri dari membentak, mengejek atau menghina dan mengeluarkan kata kotor berjumlah 32 turun menjadi 9 setelah intervensi. Hasil pengujian melalui instrumen ECBS menunjukan intervensi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap aspek kognisi namun tidak merubah kategori dalam level sedang, intervensi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap aspek relasi sosial dan terjadi peningkatan level aspek sosial dari sedang menjadi tinggi dan intervensi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap aspek penyesuaian diri anak dan terjadi peningkatan level aspek sosial dari sedang menjadi tinggi. Kata kunci: Anak, ECBS, Imaginative Pretend Play, Kekerasan Seksual, Play Therapy

This article reports on the information gathering and synthesis phase of an intervention research process. The aim was to obtain the views of professionals working in the field of child sexual abuse (CSA) in South Africa on family play therapy. This article outlines the findings based on data gathered from focus groups with professionals. Data were analysed and four themes emerged. The first theme centred on the importance of moving increasingly to systemic approaches in the context of CSA. Theme 2 outlined the views of professionals on inadequate knowledge and skills to engage in family play therapy. The third theme expanded on a family play therapy framework with suggestions that gestalt therapy theory can be valuable. Theme 4 pointed to a structured an individualised approach with a helping process where there is a balance between process goals and problem goals.

The present case includes the study of a 5 year old girl who was raped by a stranger for three hours. The study was carried out in Artemis Hospital. Through observation during initial sessions, it was gauged that the child could not express her grief verbally. Thus, the Art and Play Therapy was used, through which her exact mental state and what she had gone through was efficiently understood; helping to take appropriate measures for dealing with post-trauma of the victim.

Riane Eisler challenges us to identify and embrace partnership relationships in every aspect of our lives — personal, social, cultural, environmental, and economic. Her trove of written work and public appearances shape a vision of our greater selves working together to achieve more than the sum of our separate lives. Now, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the reality of overwhelming separation, grief, loss, and social distancing begs the question: Is it truly possible to achieve partnership values? Sometimes, we need to step away from news reports and social media to seek comfort in the stories that make positive differences in our lives. In this article, the author shares a story, more than three decades in the making, of a small group of committed volunteers who tackle a most difficult and disturbing form of oppression — child sexual abuse. An annual camp program, first requested by child survivors themselves, is deeply linked to partnership system ideologies. The Victory Over Child Abuse (VOCA) Camp story actualizes partnership values by firmly wrapping them around a tenacious vision of intentionally safe community. When communities commit to partnership systems, healing and non-violence become the norm, social transformation is possible, and children are safe.
