This study is concerned with the domain specificity of the locus of control construct within the workplace. The research investigated whether Specter's (1988) work locus of control scale, a work centred conceptualisation of Rotter's (1966) locus of control measure/ demonstrated evidence of criterion - related validity. This was done by assessing its relationship to leader-member exchange and organisational commitment. The results indicated that work locus of control correlated with both leader-member exchange and organisational commitment and that leadermember exchange acted as a mediator of the relationship between work locus of control and organisational commitment. This is consistent with results from a similar study undertaken by Kinicki & Vecchio (1994) who employed Rotter's (1966) general locus of control measure. The current research demonstrated stronger relationship than Kinicki & Vecchio's (1994) study, which suggests that Specter's (1988) domain specific scale may predict work behaviour more precisely than Rotter's (1966) more general measure.

The relation of organizational citizenship behavior and locus of control was assessed in a sample of 286 college students (52% men; M age = 24 yr.) who worked an average of 26 hr. per week. Measures were Spector's Work Locus of Control Scale and Podsakoff, et al.'s Organization Citizenship Behavior scale. Hierarchical multiple regressions indicated positive association of scores on work locus of control with scores on each of the four tested dimensions of organizational citizenship, as well as total organizational citizenship behavior.

This study examines the effect of the interaction of personality variables (locus of control and commitment of the profession) with cognitive variable (ethical awareness) to the auditor's behavior in working conflict situation. The population of this research was auditor of the Public Accounting Firm in Semarang, and the data collected by using questioner. There were 43 questioners used as research sample, and the respon rate was 71,66%. This research used the Work Locus of Control Scale (WLCS) to measure locus of control, Likert scale to measure profession commitment and Multidimentional Ethics Scale (MES) to measure ethical awareness. Multiple regressions employed in this study. The result shows that there is an interaction between the locus of control, profession commitment with ethical awareness affects the response to auditor's behavior in audit conflict situations.

Items in Spector's Work Locus of Control Scale were modified to reflect how much control the respondent feels he might have on a job as opposed to what he feels people in general have. This modified Work Locus of Control Scale was tested for reliability and construct validity. As part of a larger study, data were collected via mail questionnaires from a sample of 284 pharmacists licensed in Indiana. The Cronbach coefficient alpha for the modified scale was .88, indicating good internal consistency. The modified scale also showed some evidence of convergent validity when correlated with scores on measures of Extraversion, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, arid Job Dissatisfaction.

Data collection is the scale method, namely the Moral work scale, Locus of Control scale and the scale of orrganization commitment. The population is a total of 102 people. Data is analyzed using multiple regression. Results show; There is a very significant relationship between the moral work and the internal locus of control with the organizational commitment. Based on these results, it is revealed that the total donation of both the variables freely to the bound variable is 15.2%, there are 84.8% of the influence of other variables on the organizational commitments, where those other factors in this study do not Other personal factors, organizational factors (job traits, such as the identity of the task and the opportunity to interact with co-workers and others) and factors that are not from the organization, such as the absence of a job offer Much better or lower salary of the organization.Key words; Organizational Commitments, Moral Work, Locus of Control
