The low learning results and the lack of the student’s social skills in learning the background for this research. The general objective of this research is to describe the effectiveness of the application of learning model Advance Organizer (AO) in improving student learning outcomes of class VII-A MTs Al Huda Banjarmasin on teaching materials, which are specifically supported by (1) adherence to the lesson plan, (2) learning outcomes, (3) social skills, and (4) the interest of students towards learning. This study is an action research model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart consisting of 3 cycles. The subject is a class VII-A MTs Al Huda Banjarmasin, the teaching materials heat. Devices and instruments used are lesson plans, handouts, worksheets, THB, sheet enforceability of lesson plans, social skills observation sheets and questionnaires interest. Data obtained from the test results, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that: (1) adherence to the RPP cycle I (good), cycle II (good), and the third cycle is very well categorized; (2) student learning outcomes in the classical category of incomplete first cycle, second cycle (complete), and cycle III (complete), (3) the first cycle of students social skills (good), second cycle (very good), and the third cycle (very good), (4) the interest of students (very interested). Be concluded that the effectiveness of the learning model Advance Organizer (AO) Uncategorized effective in improving student learning outcomes of class VII-A MTs Al Huda Banjarmasin on teaching materials heat.

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes , and knowing the students' response to the application of Advance Organizer on Atomic Structure material . Subjects in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 11 IA3 Banda Aceh , totaling 26 people . This type of research is descriptive qualitative . To find out improving student learning outcomes used about posttest , and the questionnaire used to determine students' response to the learning model Advance Organizer . From the results obtained posttest student learning outcomes at 83.65 ; as well as the students' responses by 96.15 % who expressed delight in learning model Advance Organizer . Based on the results of this study concluded that an increase in student learning outcomes and positive student responses show the learning progress of students with learning model Advance Organizerpada use of the atomic structure of matter.

This research is motivated by students' science process skills that are still low. Factors that cause low science process skills are low mastery of students' concepts of subject matter. The purpose of this study is 1) to describe the implementation of learning with the implementation of an advance organizer model based on concept maps on learning activities and student learning outcomes, 2) to determine the implementation of the advance organizer model based on concept maps can improve student learning activities, 3) to determine the implementation of the model advance organizer based on concept maps can improve student learning outcomes on the concept of the reproductive system, 4) to find out the response of the students to the implementation of the advance organizer model based on concept maps of learning activities and student learning outcomes. The method used in this study is mixed methods research. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling in two classes, namely the experimental class and 40 students for the control class. The research instrument used is the student activity task and rubric, concept mastery essay test, student response questionnaire on learning and teacher and student activity observation sheets. Data analysis techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing statistics shows the value of Sig. amounting to 0.415> 0.05, with a value of t = 4.855 with Sig. 0,000 <0,05 means that the implementation of the advance organizer model based on concept maps can improve student learning activities on the concept of the reproductive system in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Lumbung, Ciamis Regency. Based on the results of hypothesis testing statistics shows the value of Sig. amounting to 0.422> 0.05, with a value of t = 8.336 with Sig. 0,000 <0,05 means that the implementation of the advance organizer model based on concept maps can improve student learning outcomes in the concept of the reproductive system in class XI of SMA 1 Lumbung, Ciamis Regency. The conclusion in this study is the implementation of an advance organizer model based on concept maps can improve student activity and learning outcomes on the concept of reproductive systems in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Lumbung, Ciamis RegencyKeywords: Advance organizer model; Concept map; Activity and student learning outcomes

This research is a classroom action research that aims to increase interest and achievement of learning mathematics using Advance Organizer model. This research was conducted in two cycles with 4 meetings in each cycle. Subjects in the study consisted of 28 students, 17 male students and 11 female students of grade IX SMP Negeri 2 Merauke. Data collection techniques used are test techniques for achievement tests and non-test techniques for interest questionnaires and observation sheets. The result of the research is the interest of learning mathematics of students in cycle I was 64,29% which is in good category and very good and in cycle II student learning interest increased to 78,58% which is in good category and very good. Student learning achievement in pre cycle with the value above 61 was 35,71% complete. In the first cycle student achievement increased by 53.57% of students value above 61 and on the second cycle student achievement increased to78.57% of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). Based on the result, it can be concluded that Advance Organizer model can increase interest and achievement of mathematics learning of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 2 Merauke.

The object of the authors of this Scientific paper study is based on the fact thatstudents' understanding of the Exposition Text material is still low. In fact, bymastering of Indonesian language in general, the students do not experiencedifficulties in learning other subjects. This observation was carried out in Januaryto May 2017, because in those months the students had finished the general testand were at the end of the semester so that the condition of the students could be observed from the beginning. The Advance Organizer teaching model is one of the models in the information processing family developed by David Ausubel (1963). From this writing, it can be concluded that the existence of motivation in Advance Organizing learning the ability of students towards Exposition Text material and learning outcomes will be optimal. The more precise the motivation provided, the more successful the lesson will be. With high motivation, the intensity of student learning efforts. Dalam usaha mendapatkan hasil belajar siswa yang baik maka tenaga pendidikan harus mempunyai strategi dalam melakukan pembelajaran. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan yaitu Advance Organizer. Dalam hal menunjang penggunaan suatu model, maka diperlukannya penggunaan media pembelajaran tertentu, salah satu media yang dapat digunakan yaitu media animasi komputer. Sampel penelitian diambil berdasarkan Sampling Jenuh. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain kelompok Two group posttest only. Hasil analisis daya serap dalam kategori baik, ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal sudah tuntas dan efektivitas pembelajaran adalah efektif. Ini berarti bahwa penggunaan model Advance Organizer berbantu animasi komputer adalah efektif digunakan dalam melihat hasil belajar fisika siswa SMA Rambah Hilir baik ditinjau melalui daya serap, ketuntasan belajar dan efektivitas pembelajarannya.In an effort to get the good results of student learning the teacher must have strategies for learning. One model of learning that can be used is Advance Organizer. In terms of supporting the use of a single model, there is a need for the use of specific instructional media. The media that can be used is computer animation media. The design used in this research was the group design of two group posttest only. The results of the analysis of absorption was in good, classical learning completeness has been completed and the effectiveness of learning was effective. This means that the use of model Advance Organizer assested computer animation is effective in view student learning outcomes of physics at SMA Rambah Hilir well reviewed through absorption, mastery learning and learning effectiveness.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an influence of advance organizer learning models on the learning outcomes of mathematics students. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest posttest control group design. The variables in this study consist of two types, namely the independent variable and the dependent variable. In this study, the independent variable is the advance organizer and conventional learning learning model, while the dependent variable in this study is the learning outcomes of mathematics student learning outcomes in the subject of algebraic structure. The population of this study was all the fifth semester mathematics students of UMN Al-Washliyah Medan. The research sample was V-C class (control class) and V-D class (experimental class). The purpose of this research: (1) Improving Students' Cognitive Structures through the Advance Organizer Model Learning by giving Structured Worksheets based on APOS Theory, (2) Improving student activity through the Advance Organizer Model Learning by giving Structured Worksheets based on APOS Theory. This research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out at SMK Negeri 1 Arse South Tapanuli. The research subject was grade 12 students of academy year 2012/2013 consisting 31 students, namely 18 males and 13 females. Object on this research were the student activity and student learning outcomes through the Advance Organizer Model Learning by giving Structured Worksheets based on APOS Theory. The research consisted of two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings. Test of achievement conducted at the end of each cycle. Test of achievement consisting of 15 questions. The results of the research are: (1) There is an increased of student learning outcomes on class XII Agribusiness Crop/Horticulture SMK Negeri 1 Arse which showed an increase in cognitive structure indicated strengthening of: (a) Outcomes of achievement test in the first cycle, namely: the average = 63.66; percentage of completeness = 41.94%, (b) Outcomes of achievement test in the second cycle, namely: the average = 82.58; percentage of completeness 90.32%. The percentage of completeness 48.39%, and the index gain 0.51 or moderate improvement criteria. (2) There is an increased of student activity on class XII Agribusiness Crop/Horticulture SMK Negeri 1 Arse shown from: first cycle is only the average of 59.72 up to 74.47 in the second cycle.

Abstract In recent years, colleges and universities across the country have been called upon to increase the quality of education provided and to improve student retention rates. In response to this challenge, many faculty are exploring alternatives to the traditional “lecture-centered” approach of higher education in an attempt to increase student learning and satisfaction. Collaborative learning is one method of teaching, which has been demonstrated to improve student learning outcomes.
