In Valiant's matchgate theory, 2-input 2-output matchgates are $4\times 4$ matrices that satisfy ten so-called matchgate identities. We prove that the set of all such matchgates (including non-unitary and non-invertible ones) coincides with the topological closure of the set of all matrices obtained as exponentials of linear combinations of the 2-qubit Jordan-Wigner (JW) operators and their quadratic products, extending a previous result of Knill. In Valiant's theory, outputs of matchgate circuits can be classically computed in poly-time. Via the JW formalism, Terhal \& DiVincenzo and Knill established a relation of a unitary class of these circuits to the efficient simulation of non-interacting fermions. We describe how the JW formalism may be used to give an efficient simulation for all cases in Valiant's simulation theorem, which in particular includes the case of non-interacting fermions generalised to allow arbitrary 1-qubit gates on the first line at any stage in the circuit. Finally we give an exposition of how these simulation results can be alternatively understood from some basic Lie algebra theory, in terms of a formalism introduced by Somma et al.

In this paper, a novel dual-stator permanent magnet machine (DsPmSynM) with low cost and high torque density is designed. The winding part of the DsPmSynM adopts phase-group concentrated-coil windings, and the permanent magnets are arranged by spoke-type. Firstly, the winding structure reduces the amount of copper at the end of the winding. Secondly, the electromagnetic torque ripple of DsPmSynM is suppressed by reducing the cogging torque. Furthermore, the dynamic performance of DsPmSynM is studied. Finally, the experimental results are compared with the simulation results.

SKK Migas plans to apply end-to-end security based on Web Services Security (WS-Security) for Sistem Operasi Terpadu (SOT). However, there are no prototype or simulation results that can support the plan that has already been communicated to many parties. This paper proposes an experiment that performs PRODML data transfer using WS-Security by altering the WSDL to include encryption and digital signature. The experiment utilizes SoapUI, and successfully loaded PRODML WSDL that had been altered with WSP-Policy based on X.509 to transfer a SOAP message.

The work is devoted to modeling the growth of optically dense microalgae cultures in natural light. The basic model is based on the idea of the two-stage photoautotrophic growth of microalgae. It is shown that the increase in the intensity of sunlight in the first half of the day can be described by a linear equation. Analytical equations for the growth of biomass of microalgae and its macromolecular components are obtained. As the initial conditions, it is assumed that at the time of sunrise, the concentration of reserve biomass compounds is zero. The simulation results show that after sunrise, the growth of the microalgae culture is due only to an increase in the reserve part of the biomass, while the structural part practically does not change over six hours. Changes in the ratio of the reserve and structural parts of the biomass indicate a change in the biochemical composition of cells.

In this paper, an integrated simulation optimization model for the assignment problems is developed. An effective algorithm is developed to evaluate and analyze the back-end stored simulation results. This paper proposes simulation tool SIMASI (Simulation of assignment models) to simulate assignment models. SIMASI is a tool which simulates and computes the results of different assignment models. This tool is programmed in DOT.NET and is based on analytical approach to guide optimization strategy. Objective of this paper is to provide a user friendly simulation tool which gives optimized assignment model results. Simulation is carried out by providing the required values of matrix for resource and destination requirements and result is stored in the database for further comparison and study. Result is obtained in terms of the performance measurements of classical models of assignment system. This simulation tool is interfaced with an optimization procedure based on classical models of assignment system. The simulation results are obtained and analyzed rigorously with the help of numerical examples.
