To develop the technologies of beta-lactam antibiotics bioassays in foods, high purity beta-lactam receptor BlaR-CTD has been obtained and characterized. A test system for the quantitation of the biologically active and immunoreactive receptor in the processes of its heterological expression, isolation and reagent forms preparation was elaborated. The immunochemical properties and antibiotic binding ability of BlaR-CTD were investigated, and the constructions and application procedures of receptor-immune systems for the assay of beta-lactam antibiotics using microplates or chromatographic test-strips were proposed.
