A novel magnetic adsorbent for Pb2+ was synthesized based on 4′-aminobenzo-18-crown-6 (AB18C6) and Fe3O4–CHO via the Mannich reaction. It showed excellent adsorption and selectivity for Pb2+, and the established MSPE method had excellent potential, displaying the selective determination of trace Pb2+ from apples, milk and rice.

A new adsorbent based on magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4), graphene and cyanopropyltriethoxysilane was fabricated and applied to the magnetic solid phase extraction of organophosphorus pesticides.
