Quantitative and qualitative analysis of acidity and acid sites on titanium-containing zeolitic catalysts by means of adsorbed Pyridine were performed on UV-Vis and FT-IR spectrograph respectively in this work. And it can not only distinguish the Brønsted acidic sites and Lewis acidic sites but also calculate precisely on surface acid amount of TS-1. Hydrolysis of 1, 2-epoxycyclohexane (EO) as a probe reaction was employed to research the surface acid properties of TS-1. The results shows that the more Ti content of TS-1 result in more acid amount and thus the more activity in acid catalyzed reactions.
