Two linear trinuclear CoIII–CoII–CoIII and two [2 × 2] grid-like tetranuclear mixed-valence cobalt complexes with their field-induced slow magnetic relaxations are reported.
A large single-ion transverse anisotropy at Mn(iii) sites induces slow magnetic relaxation at zero magnetic field of the ferromagnetic Mn dimers in a singular Mn2Ca2 complex.
Two novel mixed valence di/tri nuclear CoII–CoIII complexes were synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Magnetic studies at low temperature revealed that both complexes show slow magnetic relaxation.
Positive D values and slow magnetic relaxation with two relaxation channels have been observed in two CoIIICoII compounds derived from imino-amino-phenol ligands.
