Abstract The CLIMAX 15-3 type alloys are martensitic white irons having an excellent combination of abrasion resistance and thoughness. For specific purposes, the use of four carbon ranges is recommended. These are: (1) Extra High Carbon (XHC), (2) High Carbon (HC), (3) Medium Carbon (MC), and (4) Low Carbon (LC). This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on wear resistance as well as casting, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: CI-43. Producer or source: Climax Molybdenum Company.
