The greening process of etiolated bean and maize leafs was followed by measuring the prompt and delayed light emission of chlorophyll. Above all it was concluded that the development of photosynthetic Systems I and II could be observed by studying the formation of the Kautsky -effect. First light-induced changes in the chlorophyll fluorescence intensity do not occur until 2,5 h of irradiation. It could be shown that they reflect the function of PS II reaction centers and under anaerobic conditions the electron flow between PS II and PS I. Full active electron flow from water to NADP is first to presume with the appearence of all characteristics of the Kautsky -effect (O—I—D—P curve at 3 h of irradiation).

The synthesis of a zinc derivative of tribenzonaphthoporphyrazinato ( Zn -tri- PcNc ) obtained from 6-carboxymethyl-2,3-dicyanonaphthalene and phthalonitrile is described. This new phthalocyanine ( Pc ) compound was characterized by 1 H NMR, elemental analyses, IR and UV-vis. The spectroscopic analysis of this compound show an electronic spectrum in DMSO with characteristic bands in the Soret and ϱ region. Steady state and time-resolved spectral analysis revealed a fluorescence quantum yield and a fluorescence lifetime of Φf=0.22 and τf = 2.56 ns respectively, in agreement with other Pc derivatives. This compound also shows a triplet lifetime in air satured solutions of 1.06 μs and a transient with the maximum absortion located at 610 nm, 120 nm shifted to the red compared to the triplet observed by other Pc compounds.

Abstract This paper describes case histories of 0.13 um bulk CMOS technology analyses using Time Resolved Light Emission (TRLEM). Using this technique, scan chain, timing, and logic failures are shown to be quickly and decisively identified thereby meeting the need for rapid feedback on 1st silicon failures and process excursions.
