A heteroatom-doped conjugated polymer with tunable bandgaps is synthesized using pillararenes as electron-rich C2 symmetric nodes and thiazolo[5,4-d]thiazole as electron-deficient linkages. The influence of pillararenes in regulating band structure and...

p- and n-doped states of thiophene-benzothiadiazole based donor–acceptor π-conjugated polymer materials are studied. Results reveal that mesomeric factors mainly influence p-doping, while steric factors account for n-doping peculiarities.
