The presented study examines the concepts of “environmental marketing” and “environmental product”. The study attempts to conceptualize these terms in Russian language with allowance for the concept of sustainable development and the principles of the circular economy.Aim. The study aims to develop the conceptual foundations of environmental marketing and its derivative — environmental product, laying the groundwork for future research in specifying the concepts of “environmental marketing” and “environmental product”.Tasks. The authors examine the current state of environmental marketing and environmental product in Russia in terms of legislation and market practices; analyze the evolution of these concepts in foreign and Russian publications; systematize experience in this field; provide an original conceptualization of these terms; operationalize their key characteristics and features.Methods. This study is based on qualitative empirical research using such methods as content analysis, synthesis, formalization, and systematization. The theoretical and methodological approach of the study is based on the works of foreign and Russian scientists in the field of environmental marketing, the “green” approach to the promotion of goods, and sustainable enterprise development.Results. A research gap in the conceptualization of “environmental marketing” and “environmental product” in Russian language is identified. The authors provide an original interpretation of these concepts with allowance for the principles of sustainable development and “green” promotion.Conclusions. This study serves to elaborate on the scientific meaning of the concept of “environmental friendliness” applicable in marketing, changing the trend of the increasing number of products that fall under the definition of greenwashing. The published materials can be useful for environmental consultants, marketers, and representatives of legislative authorities in certifying products according to environmental standards.

Zinc sulfamate (Zn(NH2SO3)2 is a derivative of sulfamic acid (H3NSO3) which possesses “Lewis acidity” and finds well suited in a number of catalytic applications. The present paper describes an efficient, eco-friendly, and clean synthesis of 2-substituted benzimidazole derivatives by reacting diverse o-phenylenediamine with various substituted aromatic aldehydes using a catalytic amount of zinc sulfamate in ethanol at ambient temperature. As a result, 10 mol.% of Zinc sulfamate catalyst showed 92% of respective product yield with 100% conversion using short reaction period in ethanol. Meanwhile, effect of reaction parameters, such as amount of catalyst, different solvents, and reaction temperature on reaction product, was also studied. In addition, in the optimized reaction condition various substituted biological important benzimidazoles derivatives were prepared by using optimized reaction condition in good to efficient yield. In addition, possible reaction mechanism in the presence of zinc sulfamate for the preparation of benzimidazole derivative was sketched and discussed. The present green approach showed significances with faster reaction rate with inexpensive catalyst, which showed excellent and clean yield of benzimidazole in mild reaction condition with easy work-up procedure.

Abstract: A natural driving force is always working behind the synthetic organic chemists towards the development of ‘green’ synthetic methodologies for the synthesis of useful classes of organic molecules having potential applications. The majority of the essential classes of organic transformations, including C-C and C-X (X = heteroatom) bond-forming crosscoupling reactions, cross dehydrogenative-coupling (CDC) mostly rely on the requirement of transition-metal catalysts and hazardous organic solvents. Hence, the scope in developing green synthetic strategies by avoiding the use of transitionmetal catalysts and hazardous organic solvents for those important and useful classes of organic transformations is very high. Hence, several attempts are made so far. Water being the most abundant, cheap, and green solvent in the world; numerous synthetic methods have been developed in an aqueous medium. In this review, the development of transitionmetal- free green synthetic strategies for various important classes of organic transformations such as C-C and C-X bondforming cross-coupling, cross dehydrogenative-coupling, and oxidative-coupling in an aqueous media is discussed.

Natural phytotoxins of fungi are great source for the discovery of new herbicide and its offer a benign and eco-friendly alternative to manage weed. Thus, this study aimed to select potential fungi with potent herbicidal activity for control ofweeds. In the present study, various phytopathogenic fungi were isolated from infected tissues of various weeds and evaluated againstXanthium strumarium, a problematic monocotyledonous weed of open lands, agriculture, horticulture and forests. Herbicidal potential of Cell Free Culture Filtrate (CFCF) of strains ofPhoma herbarum (FGCCW#18, FGCCW#43) Fusariummonilifromecoded as FGCCW#35 and Fusarium roseum coded as FGCCW#55againstXanthium strumariumwere evaluated by seedling and shoot cut bioassays. Maximum mortalities of shoots, seedlings and phytotoxic damage were obtainedfrom28 day sold cell free culture filtrate (CFCF) of FGCCW#18 at 100% concentration. Significant reduction in biological contents i.e. photosynthetic pigment and protein was observed in the host weed on treatment with the CFCF as determined by detached leaf bioassay. Phytotoxic damage such as severe wilting, chlorosis, necrosis and complete collapse of the entire parts of the weed were also noticed due to CFCF application.

Phytopathogenic Ascomycota are responsible for substantial economic losses each year, destroying valuable crops. The present study aims to provide new insights into phytopathogenicity in Ascomycota from a comparative genomic perspective. This has been achieved by categorizing orthologous gene groups (orthogroups) from 68 phytopathogenic and 24 non-phytopathogenic Ascomycota genomes into three classes: Core, (pathogen or non-pathogen) group-specific, and genome-specific accessory orthogroups. We found that (i) ~20% orthogroups are group-specific and accessory in the 92 Ascomycota genomes, (ii) phytopathogenicity is not phylogenetically determined, (iii) group-specific orthogroups have more enriched functional terms than accessory orthogroups and this trend is particularly evident in phytopathogenic fungi, (iv) secreted proteins with signal peptides and horizontal gene transfers (HGTs) are the two functional terms that show the highest occurrence and significance in group-specific orthogroups, (v) a number of other functional terms are also identified to have higher significance and occurrence in group-specific orthogroups. Overall, our comparative genomics analysis determined positive enrichment existing between orthogroup classes and revealed a prediction of what genomic characteristics make an Ascomycete phytopathogenic. We conclude that genes shared by multiple phytopathogenic genomes are more important for phytopathogenicity than those that are unique in each genome.
