Due to the low natural availability of phosphorus (P) in tropical soils and the plant’s need for P, the use of phosphorus fertilizers of increased efficiency is an important tool for achieving high yields. The aims of this study were to evaluate plant growth, foliar P content and yield of soybean and corn crops in different seasons and places in response to P rates and sources. The sources of P were monoammonium phosphate (MAP) and Policote coated MAP (Policote+MAP). Field experiments were carried out comparing MAP performance compared to Policote coated MAP (MAP+Policote), an additive based on water soluble polymers. Experiments formed by P sources (MAP including 11% N, 52% P2O5 and MAP+Policote including 10% N, 49% P2O5) and rates were carried out in soybean and corn crops in different dates and sites. In the soybean crop, a (2x4) +1 factorial was used, comprising of two sources such as MAP and MAP+Policote and four rates of P (30, 60, 90 and 120 kg ha-1 of P2O5), besides the control. For corn, a (2x5) factorial was used, including two sources and five rates of P (0, 40, 80, 120 and 160 kg ha-1 of P2O5). The results showed that phosphorus fertilization would increase soybean and corn plant heights and yields in different seasons and places. Soybean and corn yield and agronomic phosphorus use efficiency were higher with Policote coated phosphorus fertilizer than with conventional phosphorus fertilizer. Policote coated phosphorus fertilizer can be used as an enhanced efficiency fertilizer because it increased soybean and corn yields in different seasons and places.

At present in agricultural techniques engaged the optimal nutrient supply is very imperative factor for elevated crop yield and all essential plant macro and micronutrients. Micronutrients play vital role in photosynthesis. For balanced crop nutrition micronutrient support is essential. Micronutrient fertilizer required in small quantities by plants and occupy vital role in physiology of plant kingdom. Proven fact is decisive plant functions are over involved if enough micronutrients are engaged. In this paper the author developed a new N-P-K fertilizer fortified with tri -micronutrient matrix and its application for optimal Plant growth. The author developed and analyzed hundred percent water soluble active fertilizer(15-15-15) with three important micronutrients (-3.4 0.5%Zn, 0.5%Fe, 0.5% Mg). Pot experiments were conducted with and without proposed fertilizer on Solanum lycopersicum(tomato) seeds. The proposed enhanced efficiency fertilizer with tri micronutrient matrix showed better plant growth as compared to normal untreated fertilizer in low nutrient soil field.

Nitrogen (N), a mineral element required in greater quantity by plants, has a low efficiency use in agriculture, resulting in economic and environmental problems. N enhanced efficiency fertilizers use is one of the strategies to increase N fertilization efficiency. Polymer urea coating has been used to produce enhanced efficiency fertilizers. However, there are a lot of polymers for this type of coating, which may lead to divergence of results. Validation of this technology to guarantee its viability in agriculture is necessary. This study aimed to evaluate rice, common bean and corn morphological characteristics, foliar N contents and yields and N fertilization efficiency in response to N rates and sources. Field experiments were carried out on these crops, comparing N fertilizers performance. Each experiment was formed by a factorial design comparing N sources (urea and Policote coated urea) and rates, besides Control. N fertilization influenced rice, common bean and corn morphological characteristics, foliar N contents, yields and N fertilization efficiency. Increasing N rates increased rice, common bean and corn morphological characteristics and yields. Policote coated urea showed higher agronomic efficiency of nitrogen fertilization and higher yields than urea in rice, common beans and corn crops.
