The CO2 adsorption enthalpy on an alkylamine-appended MOF, mmen-Mg2(dobpdc), was directly identified by adsorption calorimetry at 298, 323 and 348 K. The data suggest three adsorption events as function of coverage: two types of strong chemisorption and one weak physisorption. A multistage reaction mechanism was proposed.
