Carboxylate-bridged Ln-CPs were obtained. 1-Dy shows slow magnetic relaxation. 1-Eu (or 1-Tb) exhibits multifunctional luminescence properties i.e., detecting Fe3+, Cr2O72− and nitrobenzene.
