In this paper, a two-stage multi-category recognition structure based on texture features is proposed. This method can solve the problem of the decline in recognition accuracy in the scene of lightweight training samples. Besides, the problem of recognition effect different in the same recognition structure caused by the unsteady iris can also be solved. In this paper’s structure, digitized values of the edge shape in the iris texture of the image are set as the texture trend feature, while the differences between the gray values of the image obtained by convolution are set as the grayscale difference feature. Furthermore, the texture trend feature is used in the first-stage recognition. The template category that does not match the tested iris is the elimination category, and the remaining categories are uncertain categories. Whereas, in the second-stage recognition, uncertain categories are adopted to determine the iris recognition conclusion through the grayscale difference feature. Then, the experiment results using the JLU iris library show that the method in this paper can be highly efficient in multi-category heterogeneous iris recognition under lightweight training samples and unsteady state.

The article considers and reasons the ways and possibilities to create the highly efficient constructions of trenching excavators that dig trenches of the defined profile by means of using bucketless rotors as soil excavating implements together with design of the discharge assembly improved construction. Study objective: to create a bucketless highly efficient rotary implement of the trenching excavator with two-stage discharge. Study object: continuously operation earthmoving machines. Research technique – analytical-experimental. One of the most important problems for the machine-building industry of Ukraine is the efficiency improvement of machines created in the country. Solving of this problem is required due to necessity to perform the increasing amount of earthworks in building and construction works. The cheapest way to perform lengthy soil excavations is to excavate them with trenching excavators. Increasing of their productivity is the one of the main directions to improve the efficiency of the earthworks mechanization. Increasing the efficiency of trenching excavators is possible by means bucketless rotary implement usage and by improving of the rotary discharge process. The study justifies and proves the scientific hypothesis about the possibility to use the force of the soil flow header pressure create by the soil that is being transported from the excavation for the bucketless rotary implements discharge. This allows by means of two-stage discharge of the implement to ensure the full clean-up and to improve the productivity of the soil excavation. The study analytically justifies the requirements for the main construction parameters of the bucketless rotor. Based on the obtained results the technical proposal is created for highly efficient construction of the bucketless rotary implement of the trenching excavator with two-stage discharge. Abstract Directed DNA libraries are useful because they focus genetic diversity in the most important regions within a sequence. Ideally, all sequences in such libraries should appear with the same frequency and there should be no significant background from the starting sequence. These properties maximize the number of different sequences that can be screened. Described herein is a method termed SLUPT (Synthesis of Libraries via a dU-containing PCR Template) for generating highly targeted DNA libraries and/or multi-site mutations wherein the altered bases may be widely distributed within a target sequence. This method is highly efficient and modular. Moreover, multiple distinct sites, each with one or more base changes, can be altered in a single reaction. There is very low background from the starting sequence, and SLUPT libraries have similar representation of each base at the positions selected for variation. The SLUPT method utilizes a single stranded dU-containing DNA template that is made by PCR. Synthesis of the template in this way is significantly easier than has been described earlier. A series of oligonucleotide primers that are homologous to the template and encode the desired genetic diversity are extended and ligated in a single reaction to form the mutated product sequence or library. After selective inactivation of the template, only the product library is amplified. There are no restrictions on the spacing of the mutagenic primers except that they cannot overlap.
