Recently, usage of fabrics as wearable device, along with their applications are increasing, one example being the detection of bio-analyzes such as blood or sweat. One method used to observe the properties of the material of a fabric is to use the Refcletance Spectroscopy, in which excitation of monochromatic light with a specific wavelength is given to a fabrics. Intensity value is then processed using the PCA method in order to obtain the pattern of the difference between each substrate. The proposed transducer optic system consists of 405nm blueviolet laser as the light source, biconvex lens, Adafruit AS7262 light detector, and Arduino. This system can only detect the difference in substrate content from the occurring light scatter. This system can be applied to various kinds of fabric wearable material with differing scatter intensity values depending on the kind of fabrics. Softer kind of fabric is proposed as material for the wearable device because it gives a high scatter intensity value and constant values in every repetation which results in better data reading. Keywords: clustering, optical, reflectance, spectroscopy, transducer, wearable.

The sheath-flow cuvette is a key component in a high-sensitivity post-column laser-induced fluorescence detector for capillary electrophoresis. Most designs are based on commercial cuvettes originally manufactured for use in a flow cytometer. In these devices, a quartz flow chamber is held in a stainless-steel fixture that is difficult to machine and subjects the cuvette to a torque when sealed, which frequently leads to damage of the flow chamber. In this report we present a design for a cuvette that may easily be constructed. This design uses compression to hold and seal the quartz flow chamber without applying torque. The system produces detection limits (3σ) of 115 yoctomoles (70 copies) for FQ-labeled carbonic anhydrase.

Laser light source is a potential illumination light source for non-emissive display applications, especially for liquid crystal projection displays, due to its requirement of low etendue source and highly polarized light. In order to make a conversion from a circular Gaussian beam profile to a rectangular uniform distribution, a microlens array has been proposed as a homogenizer. The analytical and experimental results show that the microlens array with a pitch of 100um under laser beam illumination works as a diffractive element, and a promising uniformity can be obtained with a stack of two microlens array.
