AbstractObjectiveWe analyzed research themes in the field of disaster medicine in China to provide references for researchers to understand the research status and developing trends of this field.MethodsPublished journal articles were retrieved. A social network analysis was conducted to visualize the relations of high-frequency key words. A cluster analysis was used to classify key words. A strategic diagram analysis was conducted to visualize clusters across the entire research field.ResultsWe retrieved 3,079 articles, from which 1,749 articles and 8,284 key words were identified after screening. High-frequency key words were classified into 6 clusters. “Medical rescue” had the highest degree and betweenness centralities. Cluster 4 was located in Quadrant I of the strategic diagrams. Conclusions“Medical rescue” is the core key word, and it serves a pivotal “bridge” function. “Emergencies” and similar terms are key words with special statuses. “Natural disaster medical rescue” and “fundamental theories of disaster medicine” constitute the primary and secondary core themes, respectively. “On-site emergency treatment techniques” is a marginalized theme. The other themes are emerging themes that offer considerable scope for future development. Generally, the scope and depth of investigations in this field should be improved. This paper uses bibliometric methods to review the research on makerspaces. The objective of the study was to document the growth and geographic distribution of makerspace literature, identify the main authors, documents. In addition to this, the study also combined two bibliometric analysis methods, co-citation analysis and co-word analysis to identify the intellectual structure of the makerspace knowledge base and the evolution of research themes over time. A total of 654 documents related to makerspaces between 2012 and 2020 were identified from the Scopus database. The review found that research base on makerspace is starting to grow from 2017 onwards with an accelerating growth rate, however, the published studies are mainly from USA and Europe. The paper also lists the most cited documents, the influential sources of publications and the main authors working on this area. The review also identified five research clusters using co-citation analysis that have emerged over time which are “innovation and development in makerspaces”, “child development in makerspaces”, “learning and STEM education in makerspaces”, “implementation of makerspaces in education”, and “university makerspaces”. Another major finding highlighted “innovation, design, and creativity”, “engineering curriculum”, “skill development”, “computer programming knowledge”, and “learning, collaboration and community development” as the five main research themes using the co-word analysis. These findings provide a robust roadmap for further investigation in this research field.

AbstractIncreasing concerns for climate change call for radical changes in food systems. There is a need to pay more attention to the entangled changes in technological development, food production, as well as consumption and consumer demand. Consumer and market interest in alternative meat and milk products—such as plant based milk, plant protein products and cultured meat and milk—is increasing. At the same time, statistics do not show a decrease in meat consumption. Yet alternatives have been suggested to have great transitional potential, appealing to different consumer segments, diets, and identities. We review 123 social scientific journal articles on cell-based and plant-based meat and milk alternatives to understand how the positioning of alternatives as both same and different in relation to animal-based products influences their role within the protein transition. We position the existing literature into three themes: (1) promissory narratives and tensions on markets, (2) consumer preferences, attitudes, and behavioral change policies, (3) and the politics and ethics of the alternatives. Based on our analysis of the literature, we suggest that more research is needed to understand the broader ethical impacts of the re-imagination of the food system inherent in meat and milk alternatives. There is also a need to direct more attention to the impacts of meat and milk alternatives to the practices of agricultural practices and food production at the farm-level. A closer examination of these research gaps can contribute to a better understanding of the transformative potential of alternatives on a systemic level.

This article systematically reviews and critically examines 72 journal articles published (from 1980 to 2012) on the internationalization of family firms. Stemming from existing literature, core aspects and main gaps are identified. We aim to overcome the inconclusiveness of findings of previous research by offering an integrative theoretical model integrating the concept of socioemotional wealth with the revised Uppsala model. Our framework helps understand behaviors of internationalizing family firms by focusing on when and how they internationalize, especially related to risk attitudes, the role of knowledge and networks. Ultimately, we provide future research themes flowing from our suggested model.

Abstract In the research field of fiber-optic hydrophone, the performance of demodulation scheme is crucial. In this work, a phase-generated-carrier (PGC) demodulation scheme based on high-frequency sound source is proposed. Highfrequency acoustic signal from the external sound source is applied to the fiber-optic hydrophone to achieve phase modulation of the interference signal instead of the piezo-electrical transducer (PZT) or frequency-modulated laser. It possesses the merits of low system complexity and low cost. Through the acoustic detection experiment, we achieve demodulation of acoustic signal at frequency varying from 300 Hz to 800 Hz, and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is higher than 45 dB. Furthermore, the proposed scheme is successfully applied to time division multiplexing (TDM) experiment.

This study focuses on the use of lexical bundles (LBs), their structural forms, and their functional classifications in journal articles of four academic disciplines: Health sciences, Life sciences, Physical sciences, and Social sciences. The corpus comprises 2,937,431 words derived from 400 journal articles which were equally distributed in the four disciplines. The results show that Physical sciences feature the most number of lexical bundles, while Health sciences comprise the least. When we pair-up the disciplines, we found that Physical sciences and Social sciences shared the most number of LBs. We also found that there were no LBs shared between Health sciences and Physical sciences, and neither between Health sciences and Social sciences. For the distribution of the structural forms, we found that the prepositional-based and the verb-based bundles were the most frequent forms (each of them accounts for 37.1% of the LBs, making a total of 74.2%). Within the verb-based bundles, the passive form can be found in 12 out of 23 LB types. Finally, for the functional classifications, the number of referential expressions (40 LBs) is a lot higher than those of discourse organizers (12 LBs) and stance expressions (10 LBs). The high frequency of LBs in the referential expressions can be related to the needs to refer to theories, concepts, data and findings of the study.

Grupos de OraçãoAbstractDaily religious manifestations are observed in different places and occasions - schools, parties, people wearing clothes or symbols that expose their beliefs. Moreover, issues related to religion, religiosity and religious belonging have been constantly debated in different media, such as journal articles, television programs, books. Then some questions arose: how is this demonstration presented in an university environment? How do religious manifestations interfere with the educational process? To answer these questions an investigation was carried out whose purpose is to observe how faith demonstration is presented in a secular and scientific environment. This Communication aims to present some ways that expose youth and experience their faith within university environments and propose interdisciplinary debates on religious intolerance that has been manifested in school environments. State University of Londrina – UEL was used as a research field and limited our sample to participating GOU prayer’s students groups – the Catholic side - and the Pocket - whose members belong to evangelical churches - which meet weekly at UEL’s environments. As preliminary results, it is pointed out that religion is present in College students’ everyday, which promotes the reconciliation betweenreligion and science. Keywords: University. This article explores the broad and undefined research field of “the social impact of the arts”. The effects of art and culture are often used as justification for public funding, but the research on these interventions and their effects is unclear. Using a co-word analysis of over 10,000 articles published between 1990 and 2020, we examined the characteristics of the field as we have operationalised it through our searches. Since 2015, the research field of “the social impact of art” has expanded and consists of different epistemologies and methodologies, summarised in largely overlapping subfields belonging to the social sciences/humanities, arts education, and arts and health/therapy. In formal or informal learning settings, studies of theatre/drama as an intervention to enhance skills, well-being, or knowledge among children are most common. A study of the research front, operationalised as the bibliographic coupling of the most cited articles in the data set, confirmed the co-word analysis and revealed new themes that together form the ground for insight into research on the social impact of the arts. As such, this article can inform discussions on the social value of the arts and culture.
