Over 20 years have passed since a free-viewpoint video technology has been proposed with which a user's viewpoint can be freely set up in a reconstructed three-dimensional space of a target scene photographed by multi-view cameras. This technology allows us to capture and reproduce the real world as recorded. Once we capture the world in a digital form, we can modify it as augmented reality (i.e., placing virtual objects in the digitized real world). Unlike this concept, the augmented world allows us to see through real objects by synthesizing the backgrounds that cannot be observed in our raw perspective directly. The key idea is to generate the background image using multi-view cameras, observing the backgrounds at different positions and seamlessly overlaying the recovered image in our digitized perspective. In this paper, we review such desired view-generation techniques from the perspective of free-view point image generation and discuss challenges and open problems through a case study of our implementations.

Thus far, it has only been used for suppressing two-dimensional images presented on-screen. We present a novel variant of CFS, termed ‘real-life CFS’, with which the actual immediate surroundings of an observer – including three-dimensional, real life objects – can be rendered unconscious. Real-life CFS uses augmented reality goggles to present subjects with CFS masks to their dominant eye, leaving their non-dominant eye exposed to the real world. In three experiments we demonstrate that real objects can indeed be suppressed from awareness using real-life CFS, and that duration suppression is comparable that obtained using the classic, on-screen CFS. We further provide an example for an experimental code, which can be modified for future studies using ‘real-life CFS’. This opens the gate for new questions in the study of consciousness and its functions.

AR technology can supplement and strengthen the real world, instead of using a virtualization technology to create a completely virtual world to replace the real world. AR technology is introduced during process of designing wood powder disintegrator with multi-granularity, then three-dimensional entity model for the wood powder disintegrator with multi-granularity has been established, and enhanced visual system for the wood powder disintegrator with multi-granularity is set up. Through introduction of the AR design technology, 3D model can be do dynamic interaction rendering, then demonstration effect of superfine wood powder disintegrator with multi-granularity may achieve enhanced effects, and “wood powder disintegrator with multi-granularity” can be put in the real environment, and the virtual objects can be merged together the real environment through display device, a new environment for sensory effects is shown to the users. It has many advantages such as accelerating design, manufacture and debugging process for wood powder disintegrator with multi-granularity, at the same time, it can save manufacture cost.

Reality Increasing or often also called AR (Augmented Reality) in English, is a technology that can add two-dimensional or three-dimensional illusions of objects together into a 3D into the real world then project illusion objects into real time. Unlike the illusion of reality where in the real world is completely replaced, reality only adds to or completes reality. Augmented Reality unites real objects and illusions into real circles, works interactively in real time and found integration between objects in 3D and good integration requires effective investigation. Web AR provides Web-based access using Augmented Reality through a web browser using a combination of technologies including WebRTC, WebGL, WebVR, and Modern APLs sensors. Catalogs are publicity tools used by companies as a way to promote their products and services. Examples of companies that use catalogs are Furniture stores that promote products. Here it will be visualized into 3D until it looks more clear and attractive to consumers. Objective: Estimate the location of a camera with respect to objects in the real world, using monocular vision. Methodology: In this paper we introduce a method to calculate the relative location of the camera with respect to a group of points located in the three-dimensional space. The method requires only three fixed reference points of which the real distance between each pair of points must be known. With this information it is possible to estimate the relative location of the camera when it is moved, using successive images that contain the same points. Contribution: In recent years, processing power of computers has grown considerably and, with this, the interest of the scientific community in visual odometry has also increased. For this purpose, in many cases, it is convenient to use a single camera (monocular system). Unfortunately, a monocular system allows to estimate the location of the camera with respect to some object in the real world only up to a scale factor. The main contribution of this work is the estimation of the location of the camera in real world coordinates with respect to a reference object.

In postmodern era, technology has evolved so rapidly that brings the people into the digital world (cyberspace), a new space to present the virtual reality and to provide free space for every individual to take any action that ends the simulation of reality. The development of digital technology has been brought through human fantasy boundaries, creating a three-dimensional space of the following items inside, going to the stage where virtual reality has exceeded manipulation and visual imagery so we step from the real world into a fantasy world. By reviewing the virtual communication through social media in cyberspace and how the virtual communication through new media (internet), and the formation of identity, the identity of both the real and virtual identities. Freedom and comfort of a virtual entered into a structured system, then to minimize misperceptions, prejudices and miss understanding should be built communications balanced relationship between the real world and the virtual world.

The various feminist judgment projects (FJPs) have explored through the imagined rewriting of judgments a range of ways in which a feminist perspective may be applied to the practice of judging. But how do these imagined judgments compare to what actual feminist judges do? This article presents the results of the author’s empirical research to date on ‘real world’ feminist judging. Drawing on case study and interview data it explores the how, when and where of feminist judging, that is, the feminist resources, tools and techniques judges have drawn upon, the stages in the hearing and decision-making process at which these resources, tools and techniques have been deployed, and the areas of law in which they have been applied. The article goes on to consider observed and potential limits on feminist judicial practice, before drawing conclusions about the comparison between ‘real world’ feminist judging and the practices of FJPs. Los proyectos de sentencias feministas, a través de la reelaboración imaginaria de sentencias judiciales, han explorado multitud de vías en las que las perspectivas feministas se podrían aplicar a la práctica judicial. Pero ¿qué resulta de la comparación entre dichas sentencias y la práctica real de las juezas feministas? Este artículo presenta los resultados de la investigación empírica de la autora. Se analiza el cómo, el cuándo y el dónde de la labor judicial feminista, es decir, los recursos, herramientas y técnicas feministas que las juezas han utilizado, las fases de audiencia y toma de decisión en las que se han utilizado y las áreas del derecho en que se han aplicado. Además, se toman en consideración los límites observados y potenciales de la práctica judicial feminista, y se extraen conclusiones sobre la comparación entre la labor judicial feminista en el “mundo real” y la práctica de los proyectos de tribunales feministas.

Purpose This paper aims to present a case study focused on developing a change-ready culture within a large organization. Design/methodology/approach This paper is based on personal experiences gleaned while driving an organization-wide culture change program throughout a major financial advisory firm. Findings This paper details over a dozen key lessons learned while transforming the HR department from a fragmented, ineffective, reclusive and disrespected department into one that was competent, knowledgeable, enabling and a leader of change. Originality/value Drawing on the real-world culture change intervention detailed here, including results and lessons learned, other organizations can apply similar approaches in their own organizations – hopefully to similar effect.

Independent results for vapor nucleation rates illustrate the nucleation rates inconsistencies for identical vapor-gas systems at the same conditions. Nature of these inconsistencies is not yet understood enough. Assumption is discussed that a reason for the experimental data inconsistencies is appeared in the result of the carrier gas effects on nucleation. It was supposed for a long time that any carrier gas is an ambient atmosphere to keep the nucleation temperature only. The recent experimental results have shown that a vapor-gas nucleation needs to be treated in approximation of binary solutions, i. e. a composition axis is appeared in addition to axes of nucleation rate versus pressure. Each single line of a nucleation rate isotherm is transformed to surface in a three dimensional space of nucleation parameters. Flow diffusion chamber and expansion Wilson type set up data comparison are discussed on the example of the published empirical data. It was shown using a model system that these two experimental realizations produce the inconsistent trajectories in the space of nucleation parameters. That misfit induces the different origin data inconsistencies and demonstrates relevance of gas treatment as an individual component of a nucleating vapor-gas system.
