The dynamic testing of large-scale structures continues to play a significant role in earthquake engineering research. The pseudo- dynamic test (PDT) is an experimental technique for simulating the earthquake response of structures and structural components in time domain. A CFST-RC pier is a modified form of CFST laced column in which CFST members are connected with RC web in longitudinal direction and with steel tube in transverse direction. For this study, a CFST -RC pier is tested under three different earthquake time histories having scaled PGA of 0.05g. From the experiment acceleration, velocity, displacement and load time histories are observed. The dynamic magnification factors for acceleration due to Chamoli, Gorkha and Wenchuan ground motions are observed as 12, 10 and 10 respectively. The frequency of the pier is found to be 1.42 Hz. The result shows that this type of pier has excellent static and earthquake resistant properties.

In this paper, orthogonal test design method and the CFD method were used to study the different building envelopes, and the outdoor environment of natural ventilation effect of single span of high temperature industrial workshop. Firstly, 18 ventilation models of workshop with heat source were constructed with orthogonal test design. Secondly, 18 ventilation models of workshop with heat source were simulated with CFD method. Finally, the order of the influencing factors on the ventilation of workshop was obtained through multiple index range analysis of the orthogonal experiment results according to the average temperature inside the workshop. Then the optimal combination of the best ventilation effect was selected. The research results can provide effectively theoretical basis for the future industrial plant ventilation design and optimization.

Large-scale assessment in the United States is undergoing enormous pressure to change. That pressure stems from many causes. Depending upon the type of test, the issues precipitating change include an outmoded cognitive-scientific basis for test design; a mismatch with curriculum; the differential performance of population groups; a lack of information to help individuals improve; and inefficiency. These issues provide a strong motivation to reconceptualize both the substance and the business of large-scale assessment. At the same time, advances in technology, measurement, and cognitive science are providing the means to make that reconceptualization a reality. The thesis of this paper is that the largest facilitating factor will be technological, in particular the Internet. In the same way that it is already helping to revolutionize commerce, education, and even social interaction, the Internet will help revolutionize the business and substance of large-scale assessment.

The efforts to improve nutritional status for the human resources development must be started as early as possible, one of the things that can be done to improve nutrition status is the fulfillment of balanced nutrition in the period of 1000 first days of life (1000 HPK). This study aims to know the acceptability and the change of knowledge about 1000 HPK of brides at KUA Pesanggrahan District, South Jakarta by using the "My1000Days" application.  The method that used in this study is Research and Development (R&D). There are 5 stages carried out in this study, namely: (1) needs analysis, (2) application product development, (3) feasibility testing by experts, (4) small-scale trials, (5) large-scale trials.  The design used in this study was pre-experimental design with one group pre-post test design. The research samples were 40 brides. The results show that the acceptability of application by experts is 83% and the acceptability of application by brides is 95.7% which is categorized very well.  Media feasible test get an n-gain value of 0.77 which is categorized as high and the results of the Paired t-test obtained a p value of 0.000 (p <0.5) which indicates knowledge difference before and after using the application. For this reason, it is necessary to further develop existing features to increase the knowledge regarding 1000 HPK of brides registered in KUA . Keywords: Android-based applications, Acceptability, 1000 HPK nutrition, Nutrition knowledge

A remotely collaborative pseudo-dynamic testing platform for bridge structures has been developed based on NetSLab system. It can be used for seismic performance investigation of large-scale bridge structures by combining the Internet and sub-structure technology. The testing platform consists of three modules: control center, physical tester and virtual tester. Through a network communication platform, the operation of receiving and feedback of test data between various modules can be realized. Based on the previous research work, a further improvement of the dynamic structural model, the finite element numerical analysis and the rational division of sub-structure has been achieved. A series of remotely virtual collaborative pseudo-dynamic test of bridge structures has been conducted to verify the feasibility of the test platform.
