The article gives the urban environment quality assessment for the administrative entities of the Prokopyevsky urban district. The assessment is based on the methodology developed by V. N. Fedorov and M. Yu. Aksenova. The main indicators for assessing the urban environment quality were: environmental comfort, assessed through the perception of the environmental tension level by Prokopyevskresidents; population provision with social infrastructure facilities that are active components of social relations and act as carriers, forms and ways of meeting common individual demands. Two options for calculating the transport city center accessibility indicated the level of transport infrastructure development: that for vehicle owners and that for public transportusers.Asabasisforassessingtheurbanenvironmentaestheticqualities, the V. A. Nikolaeva method was used. For greater results comparability, scoring scales are used. At the same time, respondents were asked to determine the attractiveness degree and emotional impact of the each district urban environment. The total contribution of the urban environment quality objective factors was estimated with the help of the urban environment integral quality factor.

Abstract One of the main issues in urban sustainability and environmental assessment relates to the selection of indicators (SOCCO, 2000), as there are already many international and recognised core sets (DELSANTE, 2007; LEE; CHAN 2009). Nevertheless, specific local contexts are still in need of appropriate, original indicators and indices (MALCEVSCHI, 2004). This paper deals with the urban quality assessment of medium-density neighbourhoods, which typically include dwellings but also public functions, public spaces and urban infrastructure. The evaluation method is based on a set of 74 indicators used within a specific computational method that is based on scores and defined through pairwise comparison matrices (SOCCO, 2003) to convert qualitative and quantitative evaluations into scores (0 to +100). The assessment involved two different urban contexts in the cities of Lodi and Genoa (Italy). It tests if the set can be used in other sites and cities; the results show significant findings and potentialities, but also some limitations. As significant connections have already been found between urban quality and well-being surveys of inhabitants (ORLANDO, 2007), the possibility to act comparatively in different contexts increases overall research potentiality.

The remote-sensing ecological index (RSEI), which is built with greenness, moisture, dryness, and heat, has become increasingly recognized for its use in urban eco-environment quality assessment. To improve the reliability of such assessment, we propose a new RSEI-based urban eco-environment quality assessment method where the impact of RSEI indicators on the eco-environment quality and the seasonal change of RSEI are examined and considered. The northern Chinese municipal city of Tianjin was selected as a case study to test the proposed method. Landsat images acquired in spring, summer, autumn, and winter were obtained and processed for three different years (1992, 2005, and 2018) for a multitemporal analysis. Results from the case study show that both the contributions of RSEI indicators to eco-environment quality and RSEI values vary with the season and that such seasonal variability should be considered by normalizing indicator measures differently and using more representative remote-sensing images, respectively. The assessed eco-environment quality of Tianjin was, overall, improving owing to governmental environmental protection measures, but the damage caused by rapid urban expansion and sea reclamation in the Binhai New Area still needs to be noted. It is concluded that our proposed urban eco-environment quality assessment method is viable and can provide a reliable assessment result that helps gain a more accurate understanding of the evolution of the urban eco-environment quality over seasons and years.

Problems of environment quality assessment and methodical questions of ecological data analysis are considered in this article. The assessment and analysis of use of Insitu-technology of environment quality control are given. The establishment method of local environmental standards is considered. Recommendations on Insitu-technology application are offered according to results of work. Demography and morbidity indicators in Russian regions and standards of ecological factors are considered.

There have been developed models of multiple regression predicting cancer morbidity under the influence of carcinogens of drinking water, atmospheric air and soil. The environment quality assessment during the period from 2001 to 2010 was carried out on the basis of the laboratory research results realized in the framework of social hygienic monitoring. The most significant pollutants were revealed: cadmium, xylol and benzene in atmospheric air, nickel in drinking water and soil, oil products in water. The complex environment quality assessment detected that concentration of xylol in the air had an impact on the oncological morbidity in all localizations under study. The cancer morbidity of the mammary gland was proved to be the most ecologically dependent.
