The formation probability of nitrogen oxides in combustion products of mixed blast-furnace and natural gases under different conditions of combustion was calculated. It has been found out that heating the air incoming into burners of high-temperature blast-furnaces sharply increases concentration of nitrogen oxides in combustion products (by 1.5-1.75 times). It was notices that in furnaces where temperature was less than 950-1000 °С, heating the air up to 400 °С increased NOx content in gases released to the atmosphere no more than by 20-23%, and oxide concentration was in limits of sanitary standards.

We investigate the gap formation probability of the effective one-dimensional gas model recently proposed for the energy level statistics for disordered solids at the mobility edge. It is found that in order to get the correct form for the gap probability of this model, the thermodynamic limit must be taken very carefully.

The spectroscopic factor (SF) of doubly-magic nuclei, neutron shell closed and neutron-rich nuclei has been determined through ([Formula: see text], [Formula: see text]) reaction in the projectile energy range from 3 to 26[Formula: see text]MeV. The theoretical angular differential cross-sections of ([Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] reactions in scattering center-of-mass angles from [Formula: see text] to [Formula: see text] have been calculated using FRESCO and NRV-DWUCK5 codes. By comparing the theoretical angular differential cross-sections with available experimental angular differential cross-sections, the values of SF have been determined. The exponential increase of SF as a function of neutron separation energy normalized by spin of the recoil nuclei has been shown for the first time for doubly-magic nuclei. The similar type of trend has also been observed for neutron-rich as well as neutron shell closed nuclei as a function of neutron separation energy normalized by asymmetric factor of recoil nucleus. More experimental data are required to verify the trend predicted by this investigation.

Abstract We investigate double $\Lambda$ hyperfragment formation from the statistical decay of double $\Lambda$ compound nuclei produced in the $\Xi^-$ absorption at rest in the light nuclei $^{12}\mathrm{C}$, $^{14}\mathrm{N}$, and $^{16}\mathrm{O}$. We examine the target and the $\Lambda\Lambda$ bond energy dependence of the double $\Lambda$ hyperfragment formation probabilities, especially of those double hypernuclei observed in experiments. For the $^{12}\mathrm{C}$ ($^{14}\mathrm{N}$) target, the formation probabilities of $^{\,\;\;6}_{\Lambda\Lambda}\mathrm{He}$ and $^{\;10}_{\Lambda\Lambda}\mathrm{Be}$ ($^{\;13}_{\Lambda\Lambda}\mathrm{B}$) are found to be reasonably large as they are observed in the KEK-E373 (KEK-E176) experiment. By comparison, for the $^{16}\mathrm{O}$ target, the formation probability of $^{\;11}_{\Lambda\Lambda}\mathrm{Be}$ is calculated to be small with $\Delta B_{\Lambda\Lambda}$ consistent with the Nagara event. We also evaluate the formation probability of ${}^{\,\;\;5}_{\Lambda\Lambda}\mathrm{H}$ from a $\Xi^-$–${}^{6}\mathrm{He}$ bound state, ${}^{7}_{\Xi}\mathrm{H}$.
