A concept of nuclear three-body potential resonance, which is described by three-body Schrödinger equation above the scattering threshold, is introduced and discussed. As one of the example, resonances in 9 Be is investigated. It is shown that the thresholds, which may be caused by the two-body structure or by the breakup reaction, dramatically affect the energy levels and widths of three-body potential resonances.
