Nodular fasciitis is a rare disease, and its diagnosis is difficult. We present a case report of a seven-year-old child with progredient swelling of the left pectoralis muscle three weeks after trauma. After histopathological diagnosis, we performed complete resection. Normally, a conservative approach with regular follow-up is regarded as appropriate since nodular fasciitis does have the capability to regress spontaneously. Since recent publications indicate the possibility of malignant transformation, the complete primary resection also has to be discussed as therapy of choice.

The canalis sinuosus is a neurovascular canal, a branch of nerve of infraorbital canal, through which the anterior superior alveolar nerve passes and then leans medially in course between the nasal cavity and the maxillary sinus, reaching the premaxilla in the canine and incisor region. The purpose of this article is to report a case with the presence of canalis sinuosus, in order to alert and guide professionals and discuss the morphology of this anatomical variation avoiding trans- and postsurgical disorders in dental implants. A 51-year-old female was attended to in a radiology clinic, reporting paresthesia in the right upper lip region and painful symptomatology after the installation of an implant in the corresponding region. The case revealed the presence of canalis sinuosus in imaging exams. The knowledge of this anatomical variation is essential for professionals, because attention to this region prevents irreversible damage. Therefore, the use of imaging examinations is recommended during the planning stages and treatment and after surgery in patients undergoing surgery in this area.

Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is a rare condition that can mimic potentially more dangerous states such as malignant tumors. The tumor itself can also show a local malignancy as well as malignant transformation. The paranasal sinus IMT is quite a rare case in the literature. The manifestation of the disease can include a face swelling, nasal obstruction, epistaxis, vision acuity worsening, numbness of face, pain. Etiology of this type of lesion still remains uncertain but there are a few assumptions on the issue: viral and genetic among the others, as well as posttraumatic and postinflammatory. We report the case of an adult woman with IMT detected in right maxillary sinus after endoscopic sinus surgery.
